Studio D’Artisan 45th Anniversary Amami-Dorozome Western Shirt - 2025 Edition
$345.00

We've got a really special shirt here as we see Studio D’Artisan pushing their production techniques to a new level, the Amami-Dorozome dyed western shirt. These shirts have been mud dyed over indigo denim by hand in Amami Oshima, Japan. Absolutely beautiful and once the mud-dyed “overdye” fades away you’ll be able to see the deep indigo denim underneath.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀This is an absolutely beautiful mud-dyed shirt made by artisans living on the Amami-Oshima islands of Japan. This style of Dorozome dying dates back hundreds of years on these small islands north of Okinawa and they're able to produce extremely deep earth tones by using local "red mud" from the islands.
