We've just received the new Samurai S3100VX jean in a relaxed straight fit from the World War II era, made of their famed 17oz Zero+ denim. The silhouette is a new one based on their WWII model S3000VX, with a slightly longer rise and a slightly wider top block. The buttons are newly created to mimic the color of "shakudo" metal with a well-worn black finish, which has been used for weapons and ornaments in Japan since ancient times. As the buttons age over time the luster settles and a beautiful patina starts to appear, and the pocket bags are made of 8 oz. slub yarn denim which is heavier duty compared to conventional pocket bag materials.
