The NBK flannel is a heavy and soft flannel that's been indigo dyed with a sulfur top for an indigo/black look complete with engraved indigo dyed buttons with absolutely perfect construction; they've nailed every element of this thing. This flannel will fade and age as a pair of jeans would over time with regular wear and washing.

Samurai’s REPHLEX natural indigo-dyed dobby work shirt is made of a Japanese indigo/black spotted dobby fabric. Aiming for a color tone that resembles layering black dye over indigo fabric, Samurai used thread dyed with a combination of natural and synthetic indigo dyes, plus black thread, and then adjusted the number of thread colors that appear on the surface through weaving to achieve the desired color tones. Compared to both synthetic and natural indigo-dyed threads, black threads are pigment dyed so they don’t fade easily, as the fabric fades the dotted pattern will become more prominent.
