We have two very special limited edition jeans this week for Studio D'Artisan's 45th anniversary.

First we have the TRIPLE SELVEDGE jeans, made in limited numbers for their 45th anniversary. They’ve modified their vintage denim looms to produce an unusually narrow fabric, measuring only 20cm to 38cm wide as opposed to the normal 80cm width of selvedge denim. This enables them to make a jean with three selvedge IDs running down the inside of each leg; triple the selvedge to triple your pleasure. To produce this jean they also reproduced the original yarn used to produce the first SDA jean ever made forty-five years ago, the “D-01”. These are produced in SDA’s classic straight leg fit and are exclusive to Self Edge. Truly a one of a kind jean.

We also have the HINODE AWA NATURAL INDIGO jeans, also a limited model made for their anniversary collection. These are produced of a 15oz slub yarn cotton with a natural indigo warp and akane vegetable dyed weft. The natural indigo warp yarns were dipped 30 times with long oxidation periods, an anomaly for natural indigo as normally natural indigo yarns aren’t dipped in the dye bath for this long of a period with this made dips. This technique mixed with the akane vegetable dyed weft yarns creates one truly unique jean. These are produced in SDA’s classic straight leg fit.
