These jeans are made of their custom 17oz slubby “Murasame” denim made of a 100% cotton 6x5 weave with loosely twisted slub yarns for an amazing texture and very high unique fading potential. The weave pattern on this denim is inspired by sudden summer tropical storms. Now at all stores in limited numbers.

…iconic Type III jacket pattern with a slightly lengthened body and two outer hand pockets added, made of the collaboration exclusive 19oz denim which is available in both indigo and overdyed black. With this new 19oz denim we looked at all the denim styles ever created by Iron Heart and tried to produce something which encapsulated a little bit from each denim they’ve produced, from their 14oz all the way up to their 25oz denim. The denim was woven at Japan’s famed Kaihara Mills, which is a first for Iron Heart, and the jacket is finished with an inner selvedge placket detail, a special charcoal “W” chest stitching, a super thick cowhide patch, and much more which you can read about on the product pages of our site.

With this new 19oz denim we looked at all the denim styles ever created by Iron Heart and tried to produce something which encapsulated a little bit from each denim they’ve produced, from their 14oz all the way up to their 25oz denim. The denim was woven at Japan’s famed Kaihara Mills, which is a first for Iron Heart, and the jean is finished with lined back pockets, hidden fly and coin pocket selvedge details, a special charcoal “W” stitch on the back pocket, tonal navy arcuates, and much more which you can read about on the product pages of our site.

We’re happy to announce that we’re finally ready to release a…
…collaboration we’ve been working on for (literally) five years. New fabric development in Japan has slowed down quite a bit over the years, and after quite a lot of back and forth, we’ve developed a new denim which we think is quite nice. With this new 19oz denim we looked at all the denim styles ever created by Iron Heart and tried to produce something which encapsulated a little bit from each denim they’ve produced, from their 14oz all the way up to their 25oz denim.
We were so impressed with the denim we thought it would only be right to do all the “greatest hits” in indigo and overdyed versions. We have the 633 straight tapered jean, the 301 slim tapered jean, a CPO shirt, and a modified Type III jacket; all produced in indigo and overdyed versions. We’ve also produced a graphic pocket t-shirt to round out the collection. You can now check our online store for specs, measurements, and fit photos for all 9 garments. All items are being released Saturday May 31st at all Self Edge stores and online at 9am (PST) the same day.
We’re having a release party at Self Edge Los Angeles on May 31st from 6pm to 10pm with the full Iron Heart UK and Japan teams in attendance with Japanese coffee cocktails by 2025 U.S. Coffee in Good Spirits champion, Jerry Truong and SELA’s own GIL, hope some of you can make it!

This collaboration includes four jeans, two denim jackets, and two CPO shirts, all produced out of a 19oz denim which was designed exclusively for this collection. …henley tee you can find by any brand. You may wonder how something as simple as a t-shirt can have so many elements which would set it apart from any other t-shirt. The cotton is organic, unbleached, un-acetate washed, and starts as a medium to short staple cotton fiber. The fabric is knit on a vintage loopwheeling machine which knits the fabric in a circular pattern with a gravity assisted “pull” which leaves a horizontal knit pattern on the fabric. The sleeve hem in of itself is a work of art; using multiple styles of knitting patterns flat lock stitched together to create the snug hem of the sleeve, and the shirt is finished with a real rayon woven tag. This is the type of shirt that reminds us why we started Self Edge in the first place, to find this exact type of beauty in such a simple garment. Available now at all stores in oatmeal and gray.
