This Studio D'Artisan Kasuri Shirt is a short-sleeved kasuri shirt with black montsuki dyeing. The original fabric is designed so that only the kasuri pattern parts of the synthetic fiber threads remain colored in contrast to the black as they do not absorb the dye.
Dyeing with black montsuki dyeing gives the material a slick texture. The "ultimate black" from Kyo Kuro Montsuki is what SDA has called "The Blackest Black". This "ultimate black" is born from the tireless pursuit of Banshu weavers and Kyo Kuro Montsuki dyeing artisans.
