Seuvas is a brand dedicated to the art of producing canvas of all weights. They own their own canvas looms and factory which produces their canvas exactly to their specifications for the right look and texture. They even cut and sew all the garments in their own workshop in Kurashiki, Japan using vintage sewing machines so that the canvas reacts with just the right amount of puckering at the seams.

The only external branding on their garments is a single hand-made porcelain button made from clay ore (Amakusa pottery stone) mined in Amakusa City, Kimamoto prefecture, Japan. Amakusa pottery stone is a historic pottery stone that is a raw material which has been used in Japanese pottery since the 17th century. These porcelain buttons are designed by Seuvas and made in the traditional way in Amakusa.

…D’Artisan’s newest jean made of their newly developed slubby 15oz denim. They nailed the feel and look of this denim, with the 15oz weight it’s a heavy denim which can be worn year round. SDA truly nailed the perfect amount of slub yarn character for just the right about of slub pattern in the denim. This denim is unsanforized (but rinsed) and has some great character to it; it starts out a little darker than your average raw indigo jean so it’s sure to look great once the patina forms as some areas start to lighten with regular wear.

These jeans are made of their custom 17oz slubby “Murasame” denim made of a 100% cotton 6x5 weave with loosely twisted slub yarns for an amazing texture and very high unique fading potential. The weave pattern on this denim is inspired by sudden summer tropical storms. Now at all stores in limited numbers.
