…come together to create a collaborative capsule collection of jeans and jackets made of a special slub yarn cotton and linen blend Japanese denim, woven by Japan’s famed Nihon Menpu Mill. This denim was designed and produced exclusively for this collection and was cut and sewn into three different garments in Japan, at the highest level quality jean cutting and sewing production facility we know of. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This denim was designed to be easy to wear but packed with character, coming in at a 14.01oz weight (yes, that’s the actual final spec the mill gave us) and without any additional chemicals or treatments; this is a pure indigo dyed unsanforized denim that’s been lightly factory rinsed for easier sizing. We had the jackets finished with custom Brain Dead shank buttons and triple-needle construction throughout. These chore jackets fuse iconic Brain Dead design cues with the refined sensibilities of Self Edge throughout.

…underwear, and t-shirts in all weights at all 6 of our stores. Over the past seven years Merz B. Schwanen has slowly turned into many of our clients’ favorite basics brand. The combination of attention to detail, breadth of textile styles, and various colors and fibers has turned Merz into a basics powerhouse. Cotton garments are made of organic Greek cotton then loopwheeled on vintage knitting machines in Germany and finished with vintage-correct construction and trim. Everything from the knitting to the cutting and sewing is done in-house at Merz. The attention to detail in their tees, sweaters, and underwear is impressive and we’re excited to be able to expand what we stock from them. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We’ve also received a huge restock of all Merz t-shirts in various fibers and colors, all loopwheeled, and ready to add to your basics collection.
