All Rigards eyewear is handmade in Hong Kong in their own studio, located in Sheung Wan. They are from what I know the only full fledged eyewear line in the world making their own frames in-house in a studio which only makes frames for them.

…denim specialist from Sugar Cane, the new
label SUGAR CANE Super “Denim” Collectibles was launched this year
bringing together a team of denim experts. A renowned vintage denim
collector, Shigeki Wakiya, has joined this project with a focus on
faithfully replicating the “character” of super rare, deadstock, and
golden-sized super-vintage pieces that are nearly impossible to find
today. The inaugural collection features pieces which have garnered
significant attention in the current vintage market and are known as
the “World War II model.” Drawing inspiration from unwashed deadstock
vintage denim blouses and jeans, complete with residual glue, new
denim fabrics were developed and painstakingly duplicated to match the
original vintages, capturing the color hue of oxidized indigo and the
characteristics of the warp and weft yarns. Various components are
created to emulate the aged appearance of deadstock, including the
steel buckles, which, for safety reasons, had been previously avoided.
Regarding the sewing stitching, not only are the thread count and
sewing pitch faithfully recreated, but also the irregular, non-uniform
stitching is meticulously duplicated.
The 1945 model represents a product manufactured during one of the
most challenging years for material control within the U.S. industry,
amidst the harsh conditions of World War II. It features highly uneven
and rugged denim fabric, military-style doughnut buttons, steel rivet,
and all yellow-stitching. This version has rivets on the coin pockets,
and has uncoated concealed rivets, preserving their natural steel
color. The pocket bags are made from natural canvas, demonstrating the
strict cotton usage regulations of the time. Similarly, due to a
shortage of skilled workers, various irregularities, such as rough
sewing stitches, misaligned back yoke seams, and imperfect hemming,
can be observed, which would be considered unacceptable in normal
circumstances.

These are made of new fabric developed for Boncoura’s short-sleeve sweatshirts and sweat shorts—designed with spring and summer in mind. At its core is extra-long staple cotton, known for its softness and smooth hand feel. To create a deeper look Boncoura blends several
types of cotton and introduces “fallen cotton”—fibers left from spinning. But not all fallen cotton is the same; depending on the cotton species and fiber characteristics, it greatly influences the texture and appearance of the fabric. By using fallen cotton from long, soft fibers, they maintain the refined touch while achieving a unique knit depth. The reverse side features a looped terry structure perfect for warmer

Indigo Kersey shirts from Iron Heart are back! We got a small batch of these back in 2019 and weren’t exactly…
…sure what to make of the fabric. It’s quite unique in feel and up close it has these ridges which aren’t very visible due to the dark indigo-dyed yarns. They age nicely and are super comfortable and we’re happy to have them available again at all stores.
