This is the new Sugar Cane bootcut jean which is a reworked version of the original Sugar Cane bootcut jean which was released in 2004.
This new version features a complete reworking of the denim and an updated silhouette. To develop this version Sugar Cane researched several bootcuts from the 1970s and 1980s, selecting the best aspects of both fabric and silhouette. The fabric is based on the 1971 model, while the silhouette takes inspiration from the 1979 model, incorporating the best elements of each. The fabric is a selvedge 14oz denim woven on vintage shuttle looms. The rivets are the type with an aluminum foot cover, and the zipper used is the Universal 42 type. The selvedge ID is also applied to the inner part of the belt loop.
Disclaimer: These jeans are made of rinsed sanforized denim, if cold washed and air/line dried there will be minimal shrinkage. Please keep this in mind when choosing your size. The denim will also stretch in the waist up to 1" after approximately 30 wears.
