This is the ultimate cordovan engineer boot, made by a small shop which generally only produces boots for Flat Head's line of footwear which they’ve been producing since 1999. Made of a Japanese tanned cordovan horsehide which has been vegetable tannin dyed then paraffin waxed, these will look absolutely unbelievable once worn in. These come complete with custom made brass and iron buckles, Vibram's #700 and #705 heel and sole, a hand-stitched shaft seam, and a Japanese made steel shank for sole stability.
SIZING: These are made in US shoe sizing. We find these to run half a size bigger compared to brannock device sizing, which means they run about half a size bigger compared to sizing from Alden, John Lofgren, & Red Wing. We recommend sizing down half a size from your usual size depending on how much room you like in your boots. If this is your first pair of high-end boots and you're generally wearing sneakers, we suggest going down half a size from your smallest sneaker size. For example, if you wear a 10 in Nike/Converse/Adidas then you would try a size 9.5 in these boots.
