This crewneck was constructed using a vintage flatlock machine. The machine fuses the two edges of fabric together creating a smooth, flat seam. Most clothes are sewn with overlock seams which are a cheaper, faster, and easier way to sew clothes but it leaves a bulky uncomfortable seam underneath.
Flatlock seams leave a smooth and extremely strong surface, almost like there are no seams at all.
The flatlock seam combined with the loopwheeled fabric result in the ultimate crewneck sweater.
