From the beginning Papa Nui has been at the forefront of the struggle! As a major knitwear supplier to our boys on the frontline the Papa has sent hundreds of care packages overseas, supporting the campaign on the Water and under the Silent Seas. In order to get more caps to the boys, the Papa Nui Cap Company has reached back into their historical vaults and recreated the most exacting Watch Cap, the General Issue. Working with the finest knitwear manufacturer in Japan, the Papa produces this pure wool cap using the original US Navy knit batch contract number NXSX38058 from September 1943 through to January 1944. Its rugged and warm features will hold you through the darkest night, through tempest and typhoon and through winds as direful as any that lash the salted seas.
